Firefighters extinguished a fire which was contained to a microwave oven at a flat in Alsager.
At around 8am today (Monday) firefighters were informed of a fire in a flat on Talke Road, Alsager.

The much-anticipated installation of a zebra crossing on a busy Alsager road is due to be carried out during the February half-term period next year.
Cheshire East Council plans to install a zebra crossing on Crewe Road, near the junction with Cranberry Lane, using both section 106 money from the housing developments at Goss Place and from the Sustainable Modes of Transport to School fund.

Alsager's positive Covid-19 cases stood out in Cheshire East according to the latest official figures.
In the seven days to Saturday 24th October, 40 new cases were reported in Alsager West, up 21 on the previous week, with a rolling rate of 704.2 per 100,000 people.
