After last week's emphatic cup win, AFC Alsager's attentions turned back to staying at the top of the Men Unite Premier Division.

The Swans welcomed Abbey Hulton United Reserves to the Alsager Sports Hub on Saturday.

Abbey made it tough for the hosts to play in the first half and conjured up a couple of chances themselves, but after dominating possession the Swans went into half-time 2-0 up.

Jordan Rigby opened the scoring after nodding home a lovely cross for his first before brilliantly lobbing the keeper for his second.

The hosts stepped it up in the second half and got themselves a third.

Lucas Baker caused all sorts of problems again and took his goal really with a volley on the turn.

The Swans created further chances to extend their lead, but Abbey scored a consolation goal from a set piece.

Next up for the league leaders is a trip to Newcastle-under-Lyme on Saturday when they face Silverdale Athletic.
