A town councillor has claimed that "Alsager deserves better" and highlighted that Cheshire East Council should have "at the very least" notified residents, who live on the surrounding Lodge Road streets about the implications the controversial active travel scheme would bring.
Nub News reported that councillors urged Cheshire East to listen to the growing number of objections submitted against the borough's active travel measure and to scrap the "experimental" scheme.

AFC Alsager bounced back from their midweek defeat with a convincing 4-1 win away against Walsall Phoenix on Saturday.

Alsager School's Year 11 students will stay at home today (Monday) after the school was informed of a positive Covid-19 case.
The school was notified yesterday (Sunday) evening of a positive coronavirus case in Year 11 and has taken advice and took the precautionary measure.
