Alsager Town bounced back from their opening day defeat with a 3-1 win away to Ellesmere Rangers.

The Bullets showed great character after falling behind at Beech Grove despite hitting the bar and missing an opening goal in the opening stages.

Stuart Tulloch's side went into half-time level thanks to a debut goal from Tom Rutter in the 32nd minute.

Christian Soda gave the Bullets the lead just shy of the hour mark before fellow debutant Kyle Riley added a third in the dying stages to clinch all three points.

The Bullets will be targeting back-to-back wins when they welcome Cammell Laird 1907 to Wood Park, who have a 100 percent record so far this season, on Tuesday evening (7.45pm kick off).
