The Alsager Partnership Review Panel has once again recommended that the organisation receives no further funding for the remainder of this year and the town council match funds an £8,000 grant for 2021/22.

Nub News previously reported that following calls for the review panel to be dissolved after a report from a ChALC representative was claimed to be a "mistake", panel members called for an emergency meeting to be held to discuss the organisation's funding for the remainder of this financial year and their grant request for 2021/22.

Cedar Avenue Open Space – Current area showing state of disrepair

A town council working group hopes to start the first phase of a joint use open space regeneration project in Alsager next summer.

The objective of Alsager Town Council's Cedar Avenue joint use open space working group is to improve an area of open space in Alsager, which follows public footpath No 10 (a public right of way) and lies between the Valley Brook and houses at Hall Drive Park and Cedar Avenue.

Residents have once again been given the opportunity to feast their eyes on an annual Christmas light display and raise money for two charities thanks to a family in Alsager.

Every year, Wink Andrews and his family produce a festive light extravaganza at their house on Coronation Avenue, Alsager, where residents can soak up the Christmas atmosphere and in return they are asked to make a contribution to a charity.

The 1st Alsager Scout Group is currently undertaking two fundraising campaigns to raise money for two different causes.

Throughout 2020 most activities of the scouts have been either stopped entirely, or severely curtailed and most groups have not charged any subscriptions, and have not been able to conduct usual fundraising activities.
