Excalibur Primary School held a sponsored Rudolph Run event which has already raised over £850 for St Luke's Hospice.

Yesterday (Thursday, 10 December), each year group had twenty minutes to run or walk as many laps of the school playground as possible.

Each child received a pair of reindeer antlers and a pot of Mornflake's porridge.

Dan Hancock, Assistant Headteacher at Excalibur Primary School, said: "The Rudolph Run was an fantastic opportunity for the children to raise money for a worthy cause.

"The children did us proud by running and walking with their reindeer antlers and red noses."

Money raised will go towards the great work which St Luke's Hospice undertakes on a daily basis, from providing the cost of a nurse's shift, therapy for patients and pain relief.

Donations can be made directly to St Luke's, via Excalibur's JustGiving page.
