In this column on Alsager Nub News, Alsager Slimming World member, 23-year-old Laura Whittaker has shared her incredible weight loss journey over last 18 months. Congratulations!
In July 2019, the month I started Slimming World, Alsager with Linsey. That day I decided to make a change which I can now honestly say has changed my life.
For those residents who are walking through the town centre and find themselves mesmerised by a certain item in the window of Alexandra's of Alsager, then fear not you can still get your hands on it.
All you have to do is message Alexandra's of Alsager via their Facebook page and they can arrange to click and collect.
Engineers from a water company are back onsite in Alsager to repair a leak but the cause to the issue remains unclear.
Several residents had been left with poor pressure or no water at all, after water was seen pouring out from Talke Road, Alsager, near the entrance to Brook Villas Sheltered Accommodation yesterday afternoon (5 January).
Following a successful inspection, an Alsager bar has been selected as a local Covid-19 vaccination centre.
The SMASH Care Community group, which helps coordinate community healthcare across the local area (Sandbach, Middlewich, Alsager, Scholar Green and Haslington), is working together with Cheshire Clinical Commissioning Group and Cheshire East Council to deliver the Covid-19 vaccination to their patients.

All care home residents in Alsager should receive their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine by the end of January, a local health group has said.
The SMASH Care Community group, which helps coordinate community healthcare across the local area (Sandbach, Middlewich, Alsager, Scholar Green and Haslington), is expected to get its first batches of the vaccines on Thursday (7 January).

Cheshire East Council has responded to the prime minister's announcement of tougher Covid-19 restrictions, by recognising that the lockdown is needed as a national response to the rapid spread of the virus.
These new measures mean that schools and colleges across Cheshire East are now closed to most pupils, except for vulnerable children and children of critical workers and are unlikely to reopen until after the February half term at the earliest.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson addressed the nation laying out new national lockdown plans.
In an address to the nation at 8pm on Monday evening, the PM set out 'further steps' - after existing tiers currently in place have failed to prevent the spread of coronavirus that has been driven by a new variant.

This follows the election of new executive officers at the party's Congleton Constituency AGM on 27 November.
