An Alsager cocktail bar's application to be allowed to open for an extra hour on Sundays, which was met with objections by local residents, has been considered by Cheshire East.
At Thursday's Cheshire East Council meeting of the Licensing Act Sub-Committee, councillors deliberated a full variation application to an existing premises licence for Fifty Five Degrees, on Crewe Road, Alsager.

Alsager Town FC will be taking part in a social media boycott this weekend in solidarity with other clubs across the country to call out online abuse.
The boycott was announced last week by many of football's governing bodies as well as high profile clubs and players.

A nursing home in Church Lawton which closed five years ago could soon be bulldozed and replaced with a new much bigger facility following a successful planning appeal.
Alsager Court Care Centre provided care for up to 29 residents in a one-storey building in Sandbach Road North, Church Lawton.

Alsager's Townhouse Nurseries on Lawton Road and Audley Road both celebrated Earth Day yesterday (Thursday, 22nd April).
Staff are "passionate" about sustainability within their Townhouse Nurseries and the wider community.
A lamb died following a dog attack on livestock in Alsager on Friday.
According to rural crime team officer, PCSO Smith, the lamb was "not lucky enough to escape and survive".
