The clocks have changed and we've finally arrived in Spring - the season filled with birdsong, yellow daffodils, and lambs bleating in the fields ...or so literature would have you believe.
Sometimes Spring can be unpredictable, you can be sunburnt on Friday and have to dig out your scarf on Monday!
From Friday, as part of central government plans to close all free testing sites by the end of March 2022, the local PCR testing site currently in Crewe will be closed.
Also, from Friday, free LFD tests ended and people will no longer be able to order test kits online from gov.uk or collect for free from a pharmacy.

Cheshire East Council has (today) opened a public consultation to help shape a new Cheshire East Dementia Strategy.
This strategy was developed by the council in partnership with the people who use services, their family and carers, local providers, and NHS Cheshire Clinical Commissioning Group (Cheshire CCG).

The council says it has been informed by the PayByPhone operator that some customers may experience issues when trying to pay and their payment may be declined.

Calling all Queen's Platinum Jubilee party organisers in Alsager – you could be eligible for money from a community fund to help pay for your event.
Cheshire East Council is providing a community fund to allow residents to apply for up to £120 for street parties or similar community events to celebrate the occasion.
