Friday, November 1st

Want a good book to read? Alsager Book Emporium in Hassall Road Methodist Chapel in Hassall Road. They have a book on almost every subject and some of them are new, especially cookery books. It's open Friday 10 am–2 pm and Saturdays 10 am–2 pm.

Saturday, November 2nd

There's a great event to boost your health at Alsager Civic from 10 am until 12.30 pm. Demonstrations and presentations from various organisations to support health and wellbeing. Don't miss it!

It's the monthly Rode Hall Farmers Market at Scholar Green near Alsager - well worth a visit! On from 9 am until 1.30 pm it will be full of seasonal gourds and squash and lots of homegrown vegetables. There will also be a wide variety of meats, cheeses, charcuterie and pies in the food barn. Ideas for Christmas gifts too, with beautiful crafts including leatherware, paintings, jewellery. hand knitted toys and mosaics. Live music from Dan Toft Music UK.

Tonight's the night - Alsager charity bonfire night! The annual event, organised by Alsager Round Table, takes place every year at The Plough Inn in Crewe Road.

Set to be as spectacular as ever, the fairground opens at 4.30 pm, the bonfire is lit at 5 pm and the fireworks start at 6.30 pm as we revealed here

Proceeds from the event, which costs £7 for adults, children under 16 £5, a family (two adults and two children) £21, with under two-year-olds going free, will go to local charities and the Alsager community. Tickets can be bought on-line here  

Sunday, November 3rd

Fancy a chilled Sunday? Why not pop along to The Mere Inn for a cosy drink in front of the fire or drop into Bod Alsager which has halloween after teas (call them to book).
