Many of us struggle with figures but that's not the case for one 10-year-old Alsager boy.
Not only is he a mastermind when it comes to figures, he has passed his GCSE maths with flying colours - missing out on grade eight by just four points.
Figures and solving mathematical problems are a piece of cake for Zafar Awan from Moorhouse Avenue.
Zafar loves maths so much he has solved many equations and come up with solutions before his dad, Muhammad, an engineer, has even thought of the solution.
And Zafar, who is home tutored and wants one day to be a solicitor, says he can't now wait to do his 'A' Level in maths.
"I was very nervous when I went to sit my GCSE. I just wanted the paper to be easy and my dad told me to take the full time and make sure I hadn't rushed it or made any mistakes," said Zafar who took the exam at a tutorial college in Macclesfield.
Zafar, one of five children, spends hours reading maths books and solving mathematical problems.
"His ability to understand concepts is exceptional. He comes up with the solution before I've even thought about it," said dad, Muhammad.
And Zafar isn't the only mathematical genius in the family – his nine-year-old brother, Abdullah, is also a rising star.
"He's also good at maths," said Muhammad. "We're blessed in our family and we're all very proud of what Zafar has achieved and waiting to see what his younger brother does."
