Thursday, 12 February

Alsager Wellness Rooms in Crewe Road has a six-week course on an introduction to strength training.

It started last week and runs from 12.30 pm until 1.15 pm and runs for six weeks.

In this small-group setting (4-6 people), you'll learn the foundations of effective strength training, with a focus on proper technique in all the key movements.

Resistance bands, bodyweight exercises and small equipment will be used to help build full-body strength, and confidence. This class is perfect for anyone who wants build their strength in a safe supportive environment.

Friday, 13 February

It's the launch of a new journalling workshop at recently opened Hub and Health in Crewe Road.

'Writing with Purpose' founder Anna Woolliscroft has chosen the venue to launch a monthly Journalling Circle aimed at improving wellbeing.

The 60-minute sessions starting at 4 pm offer a gentle, accessible space for people to pause, reflect, and reconnect with yourself through guided journalling.

Looking for some reading? Alsager Book Emporium in Hassall Road is open 10 am – 2 pm. Plenty of books to buy, many of them brand new so you can curl up in front of the fire with a cuppa!

Fancy some quiz? The Thirteen Club in Cedar Avenue has its quiz night with bingo and a raffle in the break. What's not to like?

Saturday, 14 February

Alsager Animals in Need has its monthly coffee morning at Alsager Civic from 9.30 am until 11.30 am. There will be a good range of items including clothes, books, jewellery, bric-a-brac, plants, pet items, home-made cakes as well as a raffle/tombola. All welcome.

Alsager Golf Club, Linley has its annual dinner dance with a difference - Nashville Country & Western Night. This features Alsager's Rob Wheeler who was recently voted the British Country Music Association Horizon Artist of the Year Awards at the Cavern Club in Liverpool. Read about Rob here
