Alsager's high-end Asian restaurant, The Vault, has applied for new planning permission.

The Vault, built in the former Barclay's Bank in Crewe Road, temporarily closed at the beginning of April while remedial work was carried out at the front.

Alsager Nub News told https:/alsager.nub.news/news/local-news/high-end-alsager-restaurant-hit-with-planning-issue-gets-ready-for-a-re-launch-179394 how workmen had taken down the front veranda.

The restaurant reopened last week (April 20th) with a new menu and received positive feedback from local residents on Social Media.

Now Alsager Nub News can reveal The Vault has applied to Cheshire East Council for planning permission for a "glass and aluminium veranda with retractable roof and sliding glass windows".

The application was registered on 20th April, the day The Vault reopened and residents have until May 25th to make comments.

The target decision date is 15th June for The Vault's latest planning permission.

A spokesperson for The Vault said: "We have nothing to say on the planning, all our comments can be reverted to our application."
