Our annual Charity Beer and Gin Festival is again taking place this week-end. This is the seventh year that we have run the event and so far over £20,000 has been donated to local charities and junior sporting organisations. There will be 18 real ales and 11 speciality gins being served from our charity bars, with another two bars serving your "normal" traditional drinks. Entry is free and this year we are partnered up with Alsager Scouts who will be providing the barbeque (Saturday), Mejooles (cake and sweet treats), Home Coffee and Pure Dough Pizza Company (Friday Night) Entertainment will be flowing, with Abi Durose singing from 8.00pm on Friday, Hayley from 7.00pm on Saturday and DJ. Joe Baker, playing outside on both nights.

The event has become a regular event in Alsager and we continue to look at ways to improve your visit. Firstly we advise that you walk to the venue, as parking is very limited. Drivers can use the main Alsager Asda car park and walk down the donkey path, next to Highfields. Secondly we are providing thanks to the kindness of Staffordshire Precision Engineering, vastly improved toilet facilities. Thirdly we have set up an outside professional bar with lagers and your usual mix of drinks. All these changes have occurred as a result of your feedback and support over the years.

We would like to thank all our volunteers over the week end, as without you this event could not take place. Also great thanks to our 20 sponsors who have again very kindly sponsored our real ales and gin bar. They are all local businesses, who deserve our thanks and support.

Please note that cricket will be being played during Saturday and Sunday afternoon, so children and all adults need to be vigilant. It may also be a great idea to bring a blanket and additional seating, as in recent years the ground has become very busy.

Finally we hope to see as many of you as possible this week end, as all profits from the beer and gin go directly to local groups. Drinking for charity, it would be rude not too !!!!!
