The Japanese art of Kintsugi involves repairing broken pottery pieces with gold creating an even stronger more beautiful piece of art. Every break is unique and instead of repairing an item to make it like new, the 400-year-old art form highlights the damage as part of the design, thereby embracing the flaws and imperfections.

In this beginners workshop Amelia will supply you with a couple of small ceramic items and all the tools you will require. You will then be lead through the breaking and repairing of them using a beginner friendly version of this historic craft.
