Councillor joins campaign to stop plans to convert a four-bed house into a 10-bed HMO in Alsager

An Alsager councillor says a four-bed house in the town which is the subject of an application to turn it into a 10-bed HMO is too close to the level crossing.
And Councillor Rod Fletcher has also questioned where the 10 residents of the planned house of multiple occupation would park their vehicles.
Ehab Attisha has applied to Cheshire East Council for permission to convert the property at 3 Audley Road, into a 10-bed house in multiple occupation and make external changes to existing windows as we revealed here
Cllr Fletcher said: "Three Audley Road is at the junction of Talke Road and close to the level crossing. There are four booked trains an hour and some additional trains as well.
"There are long queues on both Audley Road and Talke Road when the level crossing barriers are down. There are yellow lines on parts of Audley Road.

"Where would the 10 residents of this House of multiple occupation park their vehicles? Where would they put their wheelie bins out for collection especially, if you are talking of one for each flat?"
Around 15 residents have also objected to the council over concerns such as lack of parking, drainage issues, overlooking of neighbouring properties, the risk of an increase in anti-social behaviour and congestion on a busy junction which is close to a railway level crossing.
The application, number 25/0784/FUL, can be viewed on the planning portal on Cheshire East Council's website.
