It's a busy weekend ahead with lots of other things happening!

Friday, November 24th 

Fancy a good book to curl up with? Have you been to Alsager Book Emporium in Hassall Road Methodist Chapel in Hassall Road?

Here's a story about it here It's open from 10 am until 2 pm.

Wesley Place's annual Christmas Tree Festival opens from 2 pm until 3 pm with carols around the trees at 7 pm.

In the evening, the Thirteen Club has Statease Quo and their tribute to the songs and music of the legendary Status Quo. Tickets are £7.50. See our What's On section here

Saturday, November 25th

Alsager Book Emporium in Hassall Road Methodist Chapel in Hassall Road is open again from 10 am until 2 pm.

Wesley Place Christmas Tree festival is on from 10 am until 4 pm with children crafts during that time.

The Linley Tavern has Circa 81 with sounds of the 1980s and 1990s at 8pm.

Sunday, November 26th 

It's the big day - Alsager Christmas lights switch-on with lots taking place! There will be over 80 market stalls indoor and outdoors and fairground rides throughout the town. Most shops will be open and there will be a Santa's grotto inside Alsager Civic.

The lights will officially be switched on at 6 pm but the fun starts at 4 pm and there will be a live DJ set as we revealed in our story here

Don't forget the lovely Christmas Tree festival at Wesley Place from 2 pm until 8 pm.

Fancy getting warm before the big event? The Mere Inn in Crewe Road has a 'Sunday Session' with Jody Jennings from 4 pm until 6 pm. Enjoy an afternoon of mulled wine, mince pies and live acoustic music before heading down to the big switch-on.

Alsager Bridge Club will be meeting at The Thirteen Club in Cedar Avenue from 6.30 pm until 10 pm.

If you play bridge, this is a chance to try out your skills and meet new people in a relaxed atmosphere – check this is still on this weekend.
