An Alsager dance studio which has applied for a premises licence says it wants to extend its offering to customers.

Alsager Nub News told here Studio S at Senate House in Crewe Road has applied for a licence for recorded music, performance of dance and supply of alcohol on Monday until Saturday from 11 am until 10.30 pm.

A spokesperson said: "We already have a lovely café which serves drinks and snacks to our Studio S customers, and lunches to the staff and customers of The Senate Group.

"We want to expand our Café services now to offer Studio S customers membership of our new bar, which will be a place to enjoy a drink and light refreshment in the afternoons and into the evenings three days each week - Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

"Dancing is very much a social activity, and we want to enable our customers to have the opportunity to socialise, or to relax as they wait for children who are attending dance classes, and to enjoy our amazing location to the maximum."
