Three candidates have put their names in the hat for this week's Alsager by-election

Residents living in the Central ward go to the polls on Thursday (28 May) - to decide on a new town councillor.
Alsager Town council is seeking a new representative in the Central ward.
Three candidates have put their names into the hat in the by-election.
In alphabetical order they are:
- Bailey, Katie (Independent)
- Mahoney, David (Reform UK)
- Williams, Philip (Liberal Democrats)
Voters will need to show photo ID to vote.
Accepted forms of ID include a UK, European Economic Area (EEA) or Commonwealth passport; a UK, EEA or Commonwealth drivers' licence; and some concessionary travel passes, such as an older person's bus pass.
