Alsager to bid farewell to one of its cherished businesses which closes this week
By Deborah Bowyer 27th May 2026
An Alsager shop which has been part of the town's lifeblood for over a decade is closingon Saturday (30 May) after the owner announced plans to semi-retire.
Sharon Copestake, who runs Beading Amazing in Crewe Road, suffered a health scare at the end of last year which has prompted her to have a change of lifestyle.
She is closing the shop on 30 May and plans to semi-retire to Anglesey, carrying on her beading business on-line.

"I'm selling off my non-bedding items and getting ready to move away and have a change of lifestyle," said Sharon, who set up the business around 12 years ago.
"I had a medical issue last year with my heart which will mean I'm on medication for the rest of my life. It just made me realise that I need to change my lifestyle."
Sharon, whose business is renowned for its workshops and community engagement, told Alsager Nub News previously that she will miss her customers but feels it's time to make a change.
A post on the art and craft shop's Facebook page says: "Some great clearance bargains. Don't forget to spend your gift vouchers and redeem your loyalty points. Pop in before it's too late!"
