Thursday, 7 May
The Thirteen Club in Cedar Avenue has its weekly Jazz Club this week for the return of trumpet player Ray Butcher with the Adam Fairhall Trio.
Ray is highly regarded as one of the most respected trumpet players on the UK jazz scene. His playing is deeply rooted in the bebop tradition, drawing inspiration from the great American masters while retaining a clear and individual voice.
He will be at Alsager Jazz Club from 8 pm until 10 pm. It's £10 on the door.

The Lawton Arms at Church Lawton has its Thursday poker night from 8 pm until 11 pm. All welcome!

Friday, 8 May
It's the monthly journalling circle event at Hub and Health in Crewe Road at 4 pm. The background story is here
'Writing with Purpose' founder Anna Woolliscroft is holding her monthly Journalling Circle aimed at improving wellbeing.
The 60-minute sessions will offer a gentle, accessible space for people to pause, reflect, and reconnect with yourself through guided journalling.

Saturday, 9 May
Alsager Animals in Need has its monthly coffee morning at Alsager Civic from 9.30 am until 11.30am. There will be a clothes, books, jewellery, bric-a-brac, plants, pet items, home-made cakes plus a raffle/tombola. Tea, coffee and squash available. Entry is 50p.

Sunday, 10 May
Love trains? Alsager Railway Association has an 0 Gauge Model Railway open day from 11 am until 4 pm.
Members will be operating the club's 0 gauge layout which can be operated in DC & DCC accommodating for all types.
The layout is 40ft x 15ft and is made up of a fiddle yard which runs into a large station with through roads, platforms, goods yard and engine shed.
You can take along your own stock and run it on the layout. Alsager Railway Association Club rooms are off Moorhouse Avenue. All welcome. The link in our What's On section is here

There's a quiz night at the Wilbraham Arms from 6 pm. It's held every Sunday with a selection of prizes to be won.
