Alsager Golf and Country Club Jazz Society at the golf club in Audley Road has Simon Spillett's Tenor Tornado.

The event takes place from 8 pm until 10 pm and the cost if £10 on the door.

Friday, May 16th

Alsager Civic has a fantastic night of music and fun.

Local legend, Mr Bigz Flavours, will not only be spinning his tunes but also serving up some of his delicious food for which he has built up an enviable reputation at his Alsager restaurant 'Mr Bigz Flavours' in Crewe Road.

The 'Old Skool R&B Night' at Alsager Civic will feature a collection of legendary tunes being spun by Mr Bigz aka Martin Mwale who is both a DJ and restaurant owner.

Keeping several plates spinning (not literally!) is something which comes naturally to Mr Bigz whose Afro-Caribbean restaurant has a legendary following as we revealed in our previous article here

In the afternoon, The Lodge Inn in Alsager is being presented with its CAMRA award for 'pub of the year' at 2 pm. The pub has received the accolade for the third year running as we revealed here Have you tried the Lodge Inn yet?

Fancy a book to curl up in the garden with and read this weekend? Alsager Book Emporium in Hassall Road is open 10 am – 2 pm. Plenty of books to buy, many of them brand new!

Sunday, May 18th

Rhema Church at Rode Heath has free fun for all the family at 'Shine' from 2.30 pm until 4.30 pm, including games, craft and food and visit from their very own church mouse, Morris, who will be joining in the fun and hoping to find some cheese!
