Pupils from Alsager's Highfields Primary School were lucky enough to visit their local MP, Sarah Russell, in Parliament recently.

Sarah was elected as the Congleton constituency MP at the last General Election two years ago. The Labour candidate, a former solicitor, secured 18,875 votes in the Congleton constituency which includes Alsager.

She said on Social Media: "I was thrilled to welcome Alsager Highfields Primary School to Parliament. The pupils engaged brilliantly and asked lots of insightful questions about how Parliament works.
