Firefighters were called to a tumble dryer fire in Alsager but found it was out on arrival.

One fire engine from Alsager and one from Crewe went to the incident in Barn Field Way at 4.29 pm on Monday (October 28th).

A Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: "A fire involving a tumble dryer, that was out on the arrival of firefighters, needed them to check the area with a thermal imaging camera."
