It's a wrap! Squeeze close this year's Rewind Festival at the weekend

Cheshire's biggest 1980s music festival saw crowds from all over the area and further afield head to Capesthorne Hall in Siddington at the weekend.

Squeeze, who opened this year's Glastonbury Festival, closed this year's Rewind North last night blasting some of their famous songs which were top 10 hits back in the day.

Local legend Peter Hook, best known as the bassist and co-founder of the post-punk band Joy Division and its successor New Order, was among the big names who also included Tony Hadley, The Christians, Heath Small (M People) and Midge Ure.

The sun shone for most of the two-day event which saw many festival goers taking a step back to the 80s with neon coloured clothing and or fancy dress costume of TV characters from the era.

The weekend was not just about who was performing on the main stage, but an event including other exciting entertainment such as the silent disco, funfair rides, kid-zone with entertainment for the little Rewinders, shops & stalls for jewellery, t-shirts, food and drink. 

Fans also got a chance to see TV presenter, Jenny Powell, on stage was at the two-day event
