Alsager power cut: dozens of homes affected after utility pole fire

Dozens of homes in Alsager appear to be facing a power cut today (Friday) after what appears to be a fire in a utility pole.
Firefighters were seen at the scene in Lawton Road at the junction of Richard Woodcock Way.
One Alsager resident said she was alerted to the problem when her alarm began going off early this morning.
Alsager Nub News has contacted SP Energy Networks and Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service for statements.
