Discarded firework causes bin fire in Alsager

A discarded firework caused a bin fire in Alsager at the weekend.

Firefighters from Crewe went to the blaze in Longview Avenue at 11.39 pm on Saturday night.

A spokesperson from Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service said: "A fire in a bin on Longview Avenue was

caused by a discarded firework.

"The crew dampened down the area to ensure the fire was completely out."
