Chess champion from Alsager set to shine: Jonathan Blackburn ready for Welsh Championship

A chess champion from Alsager Chess Club is taking part in Welsh Championship in Cardiff this weekend.

Renowned champion chess player, Jonathan Blackburn, who recently visited Alsager Owls Junior Chess Academy, represents Wales at Chess.

Jonathan, a chess coach living in Staffordshire, is a county champion, has competed in the world youth championships. He takes part in the Welsh Championship from 3 April - 6 April at the Mecure Cardiff North Hotel in Cardiff.
