Annual charity dart match held in memory of local man raises more than £3,000

An annual charity darts match held in memory of a man who died from cancer has been hailed another huge success.
The Terry Taylor charity darts match has raised a total of £13,123.91 for Douglas Macmillan Hospice since it was launched.
Aaran Powell's uncle Terry Taylor, who was in his 50s, sadly died from cancer and for the last few years, Arran has held a charity darts match as we revealed in our story here
The most recent one, held on December 27th 2025 at Alsager Golf and Country Club was again well attended, raising £3,230.22. The winner was Darren Wilson and the runner-up Billy Betty-Spaghetti Metcalfe.
Now organisers are already planned this year's event which will again take place in December.
