Woman arrested after British Transport Police called to the railway line near Kidsgrove

A woman has been arrested on suspicion of obstructing the railway following an incident in Kidsgrove.

British Transport Police say they were called to the line in Kidsgrove shortly after 8pm on Friday(23 January) following reports of a person in a precarious position.

A British Transport Police spokesperson said: "Police attended alongside other emergency services and a woman was safely removed from the position and arrested on suspicion of obstructing the railway."
