An Alsager town councillor has stepped down from her post but has asked to continue her work within certain projects.

Rachel White first became an Alsager town councillor in 2021 to the council following the resignation of Councillor Sue Helliwell due to health reasons.

Rachel, who covered central ward, was previously assistant manager at Alsager Community Support.

When first elected, Rachel pledged to look at communication and climate change during her time in office as we revealed here

In her resignation this year, she said she had enjoyed her work with the town council but needed to step down.

Rachel has spearheaded a project a project to give away free saplings to Alsager residents to help improve the streetscape and support wildlife and biodiversity as we revealed here
