Alsager School has launched its own show jumping team and they are off to a flying start.

The team was set up just two weeks ago and has already had success in the National Schools Equestrian Association (NESA) events.

Team captain is Ava Heler, Year 11 with other members Lily Fryer also in Year 11, Tyga-Lily Frost and Violette Trevelyan both in Year 8 and Isla Lawton-Beard in Year 7.

They are managed by Amanda Davies who said: "The fiirst outing was to Southview equestrian centre for NSEA championship qualifier. Amazing riding for Isla Violette.

"In the 85cm qualifier the remaining team of Ava, Lily and Tyga-lily finished 1st and have qualified for the National championships in Buckinghamshire.

"To say I am proud of all the team is an understatement. Watching the girls represent their school, support each other and give it everything was absolutely fantastic. Team Alsager National Championship here we come!"

The team is also looking for new members and say anyone is welcome to join.
