Alsager Sub-Aqua Club were just one of the groups at a major environmental in town at the weekend.
They were there to talk about beach cleans and litter picking on the coastline at the Alsager Town Council and the Alsager ELF (Ethical Local Fair Trade) Group environmental event at Alsager Civic on Saturday (31 October).
Alsager Sub-Aqua club illustrated how coast lovers can play their part in helping to keep the marine environment tidy.
An Alsager Sub-Aqua Club spokesperson said: "It's been great to see so many different people, groups and organisations coming together to share ideas and raise awareness of the positive things we can all do for our environment and community.
"From encouraging biodiversity and helping our bees, to solar energy, local conservation, dementia awareness and community fundraising, there has been a real variety of causes being represented.
"It was good to highlight marine conservation efforts, particularly our commitment to beach cleans and litter picking to help protect our coastline and marine environment.
"It's all about raising awareness, sharing ideas and recognising that every little action can make a difference."
Alsager town councillor June Buckley organised Saturday's event following her completion of the 'Speak Carbon Accreditation' programme during the summer.
This accreditation, which demonstrates a commitment to carbon awareness and environmental responsibility, is displayed on the Town Council's website.
