The Courtyard cafe at Hall Farm has closed nearly six months after the farm shop on the same site shut its doors.
Hall Farm Shop in Crewe Road, Alsager closed at the end of August after 18 years in business as we revealed here . Owners Stuart and Karen cited "advancing years" and health issues as the reason for closing.
Now the cafe on the same site, renowned for its delicious breakfast, cakes and coffee, has also sadly closed.
Hall Farm shop said previously the decision was due to their "advancing years" and also Stuart's health issues which were making managing the workload increasingly difficult.
The Courtyard cafe also stated health issues as their reason for the decision.
The post on their Social Media page said: "It is with great sadness I write this post. Unfortunately due to a diagnosis toward the end of 2025 and my ongoing treatment and recovery, I have had to make the very difficult decision to close the cafe permanently.
"I would like to thank all my amazing staff for their hardwork over the last few years and helping us get through to Christmas at what was an exceptionally difficult time for me.
"Thank you to all of you, our wonderful customers, for supporting the cafe over the years. All good things must come to an end and unfortunately that time has come. Many thanks to you all."
