Alsager beer and gin festival returns next weekend with a packed programme of events

It's Alsager Beer and Gin Festival next weekend and a programme of events are planned.
Now in its seventh year, the festival features a wide range of real ales and special gins, offering drinks and entertainment while raising money for charity.
In total, the festivals have raised more than £25,000 for local Alsager charities and associations.
Next Friday evening (June 27th) this year's festival opens at 6 pm and ACC Ladies v Crewe Vagrants Cricket Club #CVCC has a league match from 6.30 pm. There's a BBQ and live music from Hayley Elliott at 8 pm.
Next Saturday (June 28th) Alsager 1st XI v Porthill Park Cricket Club match is on from 1PM, sponsored by Lawton Dental Care. There will be a BBQ by the 1st Alsager Scout Group from early afternoon and Wildfire Pizza serving from 4 pm.
From 2pm, Alsager School students will be selling cakes, sweets and African cuisine to support their Camp International trip to Tanzania
There's live music from Danny Brad at 8 pm followed by DJ Mavx until the end of the night.
On Sunday (June 29th) the bar opens at 12 noon and Alsager v Elworth Cricket Club are in the Talbot Cup. The bar stays open until the beer runs out.
A spokesperson said: "There's something for everyone – cricket, live music, amazing food, and of course a brilliant selection of beer and gin!
"Thank you to the volunteers who have come forward but we still need a few more, get in touch if you can help out
"Grab your friends, bring the family, and come join us for an incredible weekend at the heart of the community!
Speaking to Nub News at an earlier festival, Alan Stancliffe, chairman of Alsager Cricket Club said: "Aided by a vast army of volunteers, we now dedicate time to this one off event which normally takes place between the carnival and the music festival."
The event organisers added: "It would be great to see you all at the largest back garden in Alsager. Families, dogs and all well behaved adults welcome."
