'Close contacts' told to self-isolate after Y7 Alsager School pupil tests positive for Covid-19

Alsager School has emailed parents after a positive Covid-19 case was confirmed in Year 7.

Alsager School, which like others in the borough broke up for half-term on Friday, has advised parents that a Year 7 pupil has tested positive for coronavirus.

Parents of other pupils who were identified as close contacts have received emails.

Confirming the case, the school said: "Following a confirmed positive case in Y7 we have sent an email to all parents/carers of any child who has been named as a close contact and therefore must self isolate.

"Please check your emails. Thank you."

On Saturday, the school also confirmed a positive Covid-19 case in Year 11.
