Topsy-turvy title race leaves AFC Alsager with no margin for error

AFC Alsager go into the final two league games of the season needing table toppers Foley Meir to drop points.

The Swans ensured there was no hangover following Saturday's disappointing last-gasp draw with a 4-0 win against Hanley Town Reserves last night (Wednesday, 12th May).

Goals from Jake Chadwick, Dan Ward, James Morris and Lucas Baker completed a comprehensive performance at the sports hub.

Last night's victory came after the Swans conceded a 99th minute equaliser against Audley on Saturday.

The match finished 3-3 which meant the Swans were no longer in control of their league title destiny.

However, with Foley Meir not playing until Wednesday, the Swans can pile on the pressure and go back to the league's summit, if they beat Wolstanton United at home on Saturday (kick off 2.30pm).
