Destiny in their own hands: AFC Alsager five wins away from league title

If AFC Alsager win all of their remaining five league games, they will be crowned champions of the Men Unite Premier Division.

The Swans go into tomorrow's (Saturday, 8th May) home clash (2.30pm kick off at Alsager Sports Hub) against Audley & District off the back of a comprehensive 6-0 win against Cheadle Town on Saturday.

They were due to face Eastwood Hanley on Wednesday, but the game was called off.

However, on the same night, local rivals Alsager Town Reserves aided the Swans' title challenge after the Bullets held the league leaders Foley Meir to a 1-1 draw.

Although AFC Alsager currently sit fourth in the table, they are two points off top with at least one game in hand on all of the three sides currently above them.
