AFC Alsager won the League Challenge Cup after they saw off Hanley Town Reserves in a nerve jangling penalty shootout.

The Swans looked like they were going to be comfortable victors after they ran out into a 2-0 lead inside the first 30 minutes, thanks to goals from Jordan Rigby and Lucas Baker.

But the hosts reduced the deficit with 25 minutes to go through Florin Balajel and then Reagan Lymer scored a dramatic equaliser in the dying stages.

With the lottery of the shootout deciding the final, AFC Alsager thankfully came out on top with a 4-3 victory.
