Here are our top event picks for the coming days:

Friday, November 4th

The Lawton Arms in Church Lawton has a bonfire and fireworks display with an outdoor bar and BBQ. The fun starts at 7.45 pm.

Saturday, November 5th

The Cheshire Villages Great War Society with the help of the Alsager branch of the Royal British Legion is staging an exhibition featuring WWI at Alsager Civic.

Alsager Nub News covered the story earlier this week, https://alsager.nub.news/news/local-news/major-exhibition-about-wwi-takes-place-in-alsager-this-weekend-156968.

A Lance Corporal with Alsager links who fought in the WW1 is just one of the soldiers honoured in the exhibition.

Memorabilia and items of equipment are just part of an exhibition being staged at the free event from 10 am until 3 pm.

As well as displays about Alsager, other villages such as Rode Heath, Odd Rode, Church Lawton and Barthomley will also be featured.

In the evening, it's Alsager Round Table's charity big bonfire and firework extravaganza at The Plough Inn in Crewe Road.

We covered the story here giving details of how to get tickets https://alsager.nub.news/news/local-news/just-days-to-go-before-the-towns-big-annual-fundraising-bonfire-event-157027

Sunday, November 6th

Nature lovers have a chance to get involved in the monthly walk organised by Alsager Urban Wildlife Initiative. Meet at Merelake Way car park at 2 pm.

In the evening, Alsager Bridge Club will be meeting at The Thirteen Club in Cedar Avenue from 6.30 pm until 10 pm.

If you play bridge, this is a chance to try out your skills and meet new people in a relaxed atmosphere.
