It's the Coronation weekend, another Bank Holiday and there's lots happening – a farmers market, murder mystery night, live music and family-friendly party.

Friday, May 5th  

Fancy a good book to curl up with? Have you been to Alsager Book Emporium in Hassall Road Methodist Chapel in Hassall Road?

Here's a recent story about the book emporium here

It's open from 10 am until 2 pm. They have just had a large collection of Irish traditional music in – and find out more if you're a fan! The venue is closed tomorrow (Saturday) for the Coronation.

Alsager Community Theatre has a Dinner Theatre Murder Mystery: Death by Chocolate at Alsager Civic. 7pm for 7.30pm, £10 admission including a chip bap supper. Call 07938 028 292 to book.

Saturday, May 6th

Rode Hall May market takes place earlier as a one-off for the Coronation weekend from 8 am until 12 noon. There will be indoor and outdoor stalls full of artisan food and crafts. The orchard next to the barns will be open for picnics and the Work Shy Fops will be playing live. It's also the last two days of Rode Hall's Bluebell Walks. 

Rode Hall's Bluebell Walks run until tomorrow (7th May) 10-4pm. Tickets can be bought online https://beyonk.com/uk/us1p9ige/bluebell-walks-rode-hall-gardens?portal=true and on the gate.

The Linley Tavern in Talke Road has a royal weekend. They will be showing the full ceremony on their screens and have free buffet for you all to enjoy.

Fancy some live music? The Wilbraham Arms has 'Bootleg Weller', a solo tribute to The Jam, Style Council and Paul Weller from 8.30 pm.   

Sunday, May 7th  

At Alsager Civic, there's a family-friendly party from 6 pm to include a fun quiz, prize bingo and disco! Enjoy the long weekend and observe this historic event. Tickets cost £5 and available from this link:

The Linley Tavern in Talke Road has a party. Weather dependent take your own chairs, gazebos, picnics (just purchase your drinks at the bar). Live acoustic music from Dayve Dean and Luke Stevenson Singer

Alsager Bridge Club will be meeting at The Thirteen Club in Cedar Avenue from 6.30 pm until 10 pm. 

If you play bridge, this is a chance to try out your skills and meet new people in a relaxed atmosphere – check this is still on this weekend.
