All veterans, serving Armed Forces and their families are welcome to the Plough Inn from 9am until 11 am. Father Christmas will be joining with a surprise for any children who attend.

Meanwhile, as part of Cheshire East Council's ambition to plant 100,000 trees, volunteers are meeting to plant a new community orchard and hedgerow in Alsager. Meet at 10 am at Fairview car park. The event takes place until 2pm.

Alsager Town Football Club aka The Bullets are away to Abbey Hulton with a 3 pm kick-off.

At The Thirteen Club in Cedar Avenue, there's a Shakin' Stevens tribute while The Linley Tavern also has live music.

Sunday, November 27th

It's the big switch-on in Alsager which we featured in a story here https://alsager.nub.news/news/local-news/final-preparations-being-made-for-alsagers-christmas-lights-switch-on-this-weekend-160045

There's a Christmas Market with stalls in Alsager Civic open from 3 pm.

The lights are being switched on at 6pm at Bank Corner by Santa Clause.

It is organised by Alsager Christmas Events Committee, which is supported by Alsager Partnership, Alsager Round Table, Alsager Town Council and many volunteers.

Meanwhile Alsager Bridge Club will be meeting at The Thirteen Club in Cedar Avenue from 6.30 pm until 10 pm.

If you play bridge, this is a chance to try out your skills and meet new people in a relaxed atmosphere.
