It's a busy weekend and there's lots going on in Alsager – a weekly boot camp, soul night and live music.

here.and press the black 'Nub It' button to get started. Here are our top event picks for the coming days: Friday April 1st You've heard of boot camps for adults well now there's one for puppies! Wilderness Walks have a puppy and beginner boot camp at Scholar Green village hall at 6.30pm. Learn basic obedience and lead work over a six week course. It is open to all breeds and ages. Saturday April 2nd Feeling a bit jaded and wanting to get fit? Wild Bootcamp in The Woods is a great way to get moving in the outdoors. The Whirligig Wild Boot camp takes in School Wood, Scholar Green is a circuit-style fitness group for those who want to exercise in fresh air with a friendly group. The boot camp was featured recently by Alsager Nub News here. Meanwhile there's a beautiful Spring farmers market with over 70 indoor and outdoor artisan food and craft stalls takes place at Rode Hall, Scholar Green from 9 am until 1.30 pm. Live entertainment, the Courtyard kitchen serving homemade cakes, soups, sausage, bacon baps, teas and coffees and the spring gardens open too. Alsager Town Football Club is away to New Mills. Kick-off is 3pm. At Alsager Civic, there's Golden Torch 50th Anniversary event – one of the legendary soul clubs that provided the building blocks pf the northern soul scene. The fun starts at 7.30 pm and goes on until 1 am. At the Thirteen Club in Cedar Avenue there's a Quiz Night open to members and non-members. Sunday April 3rd At Christ Church in Church Road, Alsager, there's a reflective service with hymns at 9 am for an hour. At Alsager Leisure Centre, Everybody Inclusive Cycling has a sessions for children who might find cycling on a two wheeled bike more challenging. This takes place from 1.30 pm – 2.15 pm Alsager Bridge Club is at The Thirteen Club in Cedar Avenue, meeting from 6.30pm until 10pm. If you play bridge, this is a chance to try out your skills and meet new people in a relaxed atmosphere. The Bank Corner has Adam D'Arcy performing live from 6.30pm.
