Due to the latest lockdown, Wesley Place Methodist Church will be unable to have Christmas trees delivered and collected as planned.
However, the Christmas Tree group at Wesley Place will still be holding a virtual festival by showing slides of previous festivals.
Every year, the annual Christmas Tree Festival has a Memory Tree where prayers or memories can be placed, in return a donation for a chosen charity is appreciated.
The Christmas Tree group told Nub News: "The Memory Tree has always been very special and meaningful to many people."
At the end of November, there will be an opportunity to put memories, names or prayers on the Wesley Place Church Facebook page. These messages will be there for all of the community to see.
The Memory Tree is used to raise money for a particular charity. This year the group have decided that it would be appropriate for it to be NHS Charities Together.
There is a Just Giving page available for anyone who wishes to donate.
Before the Covid-19 pandemic, each year at the end of November, Wesley Place Methodist Church opened its doors to thousands of visitors for its annual Christmas Tree Festival.
The Christmas Tree Festival is one of the highlights of Alsager's street fair, which traditionally accompanied the turn on of the Christmas lights in the village.
