Do you enjoy walking and want to raise some much-needed funds for a charity?

St Luke's Hospice, which has a shop in Crewe Road, has launched a new event.

The hospice has introduced a new event to their exciting event calendar, a Twilight Walk in Delamere Forest and it's set to be one of their best yet!

The 10km Twilight Walk is to be held at the popular Delamere Forest in the heart of Cheshire on Sunday 25th March 2023.

Jane Thompson, Head of Events at St Luke's, said: "We are so excited about our new Twilight Walk event for 2023, it is set to be a delightful evening of celebration and fun.

We are so lucky to be able to host the event at the wonderful Delamere Forest and create an event that is fun and memorable for all the family!

This year our fundraising target is £40,000 which would fund an incredible 268 nurses' shifts on our Inpatient Unit. Each shift costs £149 and each hour of nursing care £31, so when you take part and raise money for St Luke's you are helping us to move one step closer to this target."

Join hundreds of other St Luke's supporters to embark on this 10k sponsored walk.

Begin the evening at their 'silent-disco' warm-up, where their resident DJ will be playing your favourite tunes and games with a twist along the walk too.

You will also be issued with your own head torch (for you to keep)!

Walk through the wonderful Delamere Forest with your friends and family (dogs are also welcome), stopping off at our fire pits on the way and toasting along the way.

Food and drink is also available to purchase on the evening. The walk will take you up Old Pale, around the forest mere, finishing back at the visitors' centre – approximately 10k (6 miles). Enjoy a glass of fizz on your return to celebrate the start of summer!

Registration for the Twilight Walk is £20.00 per adult and £12.50 per child (under 16). Parking is £3 per car. Book your place on their website at www.slhospice.co.uk/Twilight
