A pub in a village near Alsager which has been closed for a while is on the market with a new agent.

In May last year, Alsager Nub News told here how the Star Pubs & Bars, the pub business of Heineken UK , had advertised the Royal Oak in Rode Heath on its site.

Star Pubs & Bars said then that the Royal Oak "would receive a full refurbishment throughout and the pub would boast additional kerb appeal with full external redecoration to match the internal feel."

But now the Royal Oak is being advertised through the Midlands office of Fleurets Limited based in Birmingham, link here , with a price tag of £395,000.

The Royal Oak, which is also being advertised on Rightmove, is described as having "two trading areas and kitchen, car parking and a three bed private quarters".

The listing says: "A detached two storey brick-built property which is set back slightly from the road, lies beneath a pitched tiled roof and extends to the rear.

"Immediately beyond this is a good sized and entirely covered smoking shelter. There is also a tarmac car park with space for around 14 vehicles and, beyond this an overgrown but very useful grassed beer garden/children's play area. There is also a private yard with large garage store."

The link to the Rightmove listing is here
