It rained again on the first day of Alsager Music Festival but it failed to dampen spirits.
Alsager was alive with the sound of music at the weekend - with the music festival which began in 2009.
Families gathered under the trees in Milton Park or under gazebos to shelter from the rain on Saturday (July 13th) as they listened to an action-packed day of music.
And the fun continued yesterday (Sunday) when The Lodge Inn staged various musical offerings along with other venues in the town such as The Mere Inn.
Umbrellas and Wellington boots were the order of the day yesterday (Saturday) at the all-day event in Milton Park.
Many music lovers sheltered under gazebos while others held umbrellas and danced in the rain to a non-stop line-up of music.
Today (Sunday) the festival carries on at various pubs across Alsager. The annual event has grown and grown and is now attended by more than 5,000 people.
It's organised by a group of local musicians, music enthusiasts, members of Alsager Round Table, Alsager Partnership and the scouts.
Alsager Nub News went along on the first day of the event yesterday (Saturday) to witness some of the fun at Milton Park which had a variety of stalls and stands.
