Shoppers from Alsager travelling to Macclesfield will still be able to pop into Sainsbury's for a cuppa.
The supermarket chain is closing 200 of their in-store cafés in April but Macclesfield's Sainsbury's is lucky to have survived the cuts.
However the Sainsbury's café in Biddulph's is not so lucky – that is set to shut. Alsager currently has a Sainsbury's Local in Crewe Road.
The nationwide culling of the cafés move is set to put around 2,000 jobs at risk, with Sainsbury's also announcing plans to close 34 of its less popular hot food counters.
The closures have come as part of new plans aimed at updating the eat-in, takeaway and home delivery selections for customers.
Sainsbury's says it is hoping to open 30 new 'food halls' in 2022, as well as 30 Starbucks coffee shops within supermarkets.
Simon Roberts, Sainsbury's Chief Executive Officer said: "We are totally focused on improving what we can deliver for our customers and at the same time, working hard to make our business simpler.
"As we go through this period of transition, we have taken the difficult decision to close 200 of our cafes next month."
