Police have moved travellers on who had set up camp at a business premises in the town.

Residents told of seeing several police cars at a business premises in Fields Road, Alsager on Sunday (January 5th).

A spokesperson from Cheshire Police said: "On Saturday 4 January 2025, police were made aware of an unauthorised encampment at a business premises on Fields Road, Alsager.

"Police conducted a visit to the site and on Sunday 5 January, a Section 61 notice was issued ordering those present to leave the site.

"The encampment was subsequently vacated by 10.30am on Sunday 5 January."
