Tickets for Alsager & District U3A's silver jubilee concert are now available.

The group, part of a national and international voluntary learning organisation, was launched in 1998, and is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.

Alsager Nub News featured the silver jubilee concert in its story here, revealing how a special open morning on November 27th between 10 am and 12 noon at Alsager Civic will also be held.

The concert, St Mary's Church in Alsager on Sunday, October 15th, will feature Alsager Light Orchestra playing songs from stage and screen.

The Orchestra is 45 strong and is under the leadership of the Bill Freeman. Tickets are available from Alsager Civic on a Monday mornings between 9.30am and 12 noon.

"We are not charging for tickets but you will be able to leave a donation on the day if you wish," said chairman, Alan Bell.

"You can be assured of a superb performance which will thrill all ages. All monies raised will be shared between local charities. Please support this very worthwhile event. "

Alsager branch, which has nearly 1,000 members and 59 groups, are busy preparing the special anniversary celebrations.
